Praises Praises...Praises to God!!!

The power of prayer I've seen in three situations recently involving my family and friends!!! God is so good!!!

First of all, my friend's (Callie) mother had her scan yesterday to see if her treatments had taken care of her cancer. Well....her mother had a clear scan yesterday....AMAZING!!! I know many prayers have been going up on her behalf and it's amazing to see the power of those prayers. God is so good!!!

Secondly, my uncle, Gerald Robertson, had back surgery last week and had a unexpected complication with an infection that left him feverish and unaware of his surroundings or his loved ones with him. I was VERY worried for him. I know that my family was praying and that since he is doing better and has been released from ICU and will begin his physical therapy. Per my mom, from my aunt, he is not looking forward to his therapy and has a lengthy road ahead. I know that he will get through it and will continue to pray for a speedy recovery and for no more pain. I know that God will watch over his healing!!! God is good!!!

Thirdly, my boyfriend's aunt had a kidney removed over a week ago that had a cancerous tumor on it. There was much concern as to whether the tissue around it that made the removal difficult, was cancerous. The reports showed that the tissue around was cancer free!!! God is good!!!

"But you, LORD, are a shield around me, my glory, the One who lifts my head." Psalms 3:3

Prayers Please

I just want to post a prayer request for my friend's mom. Callie Lillard is a friend of mine from Harding (you can see the link to her blog on my blog friends list....right side my page). Her mother has been a warrior and battled cancer for quite some time. Last fall she had surgery for pancreatic cancer. Since then she has had the road of recovery and several chemo treatments. On the 24th of this month she will have a scan to see if she is cancer free. PLEASE pray that her scan will be clear and that Tricia will be cancer free!!!! God can move mountains and do all things. "Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus." 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 Thanks blog friends :)

Happy 2011

2010 has come and gone....FAST!!! It's crazy how fast it goes. My mother always tells me that time seems to go faster the older you get, and like most things, she's right. 2011 will hopefully be a good year. I've been incredibly blessed in my life and I'm very thankful to God for my blessings. I rarely make resolutions, but try to get in the right frame of mind to start each new year. This frame of mind should be prevalent and consistent 365 days, but I know there are many times that I need to work on priorities. 2011 frame of mind....God always first, others second, self last. Simple and something that I've been taught and told my whole life, but also something that doesn't always fall in the right order. So here's to 2011, may God always be first, may I always put others' needs before mine, and may I put myself in the backseat. Pretty simple. Bring on 2011. Happy New Year everyone!
